Author Donna Copen McKinnis has published two biographies and numerous articles in magazines and newspapers. She has worked in print and broadcast media over thirty-five years, often combining her journalism skills with arts administration and special events consulting, such as the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics and Hands Across America.

A seasoned traveler, she has lived in London, Wales and Tokyo, and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. She speaks Japanese and French, reads Latin, and knows a survival smattering of several other languages.
